I think that nothing can beat a fitted jacket to help you extend your wardrobe. The designers are right on the money with their offering of fitted jackets for Fall 2006.

Michael Kors is offering a military style jacket in an ultrasoft pinwale courduroy with seven buttons. Theory is offering a cropped double breasted black satin jacket with 3/4 sleeves, quite interesting and great for the younger set. Hmmm, maybe I could even try it, with my favorite dark demin jeans, my favorite whit shirt and a pair of stillettoes....

Allen Allen is offering a one button seamed blazer that falls at hip length. It's great for a casual look paired with khakis or with jeans and is machine washable. Jones New York is offering a lovely classic column jacket that hits at the thigh. It lenghtens the torso quite nicely.
